FRANCHISE CONSULTANT · CAPE COD AND MASSACHUSETTS
A franchise consultant on Cape Cod who starts with fit, not brands.
I am based on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and I work with clients across the country, mostly virtually. Whether you are on the Cape or anywhere else, I help you decide whether franchise ownership makes sense for you before we evaluate specific opportunities. This work is part of Corporate Refugee business ownership advisory; if you are still deciding whether to use a consultant at all, read reasons to hire a franchise consultant.
Why location matters in a franchise decision
A franchise system can be proven elsewhere and still face a very different market here. On Cape Cod, the questions that deserve early attention include how seasonal demand is for the concept, whether the business can staff year-round, whether the territory has enough customers to support the revenue the model requires, and what real estate the concept needs.
In other markets, the questions shift: population density, competing units, commute patterns, and whether the territory is large on paper but thin in practice.
A large territory is not automatically a good territory. What matters is whether the market supports the business.
What to expect when we work together
The process is the same whether you are on Cape Cod or anywhere else in the country:
Assess: start with you
Goals, capital, preferred role, risk tolerance, and timeline, before any brand enters the conversation.
Identify Options: compare franchising with the alternatives
Buying an existing business, an independent business, licensing, distribution, consulting, or no transaction at all.
Implement: evaluate real opportunities carefully
Read the Franchise Disclosure Document as a business document, talk to existing owners, and test the territory and the numbers.
Move Forward: make the decision
Make an informed decision, including the decision not to buy.
Massachusetts and franchise registration
Franchise rules vary by state. Before relying on any assumption about Massachusetts or another state, read the Franchise FAQ section on franchise registration states and the Federal Trade Commission’s guide to buying a franchise, and involve a franchise attorney.
