FRACTIONAL COO · INTERIM OPERATIONS LEADERSHIP

Fractional COO and interim operations leadership, wherever your business is.

When your business needs experienced operations leadership for a defined period, to stabilize, cover a transition, or carry out a specific change, I can step in as a fractional COO, without a permanent executive hire right away.

Assess. Identify Options. Implement. Move Forward.

When fractional or interim leadership makes sense

Leadership gap

A key operations leader has left and the business needs coverage while it decides what comes next.

Stabilization

Execution has become unpredictable and someone needs to restore rhythm, accountability, and visibility.

Defined change

A new system, vendor transition, process redesign, or growth initiative needs experienced ownership.

Not yet a full-time role

The company needs senior operations judgment, but not forty hours a week of it.

Experience behind the role

I spent 15 years in operations, procurement, and supply chain roles in healthcare and federally funded research and graduate education, including Director, Vice President, and President-level roles as well as interim and fractional engagements. These were regulated environments, and I was often brought in to stabilize operations and build the processes, systems, and controls they needed. Before that, I spent 15 years as a paramedic and flight paramedic.

I am based on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and I work with organizations across the country, mostly virtually, and in person when the work calls for it.

Scope a fractional COO engagement around the problem

Fractional and interim engagements work best when the objective, authority, and time frame are clear from the start. The first conversation is about the operating problem and whether advisory support or hands-on leadership is the better fit.
